Matthew Di Ferrante

I'm a software engineer and cryptography researcher that works on distributed systems. I've long had an interest in security, since I was in my teens, and have tried to combine it with my passion for mathematics and software engineering. Along that vein, I'm a huge supporter of public distributed/decentralized networks like Tor and Bitcoin/Ethereum, and research/development in those platforms is what takes up most of my days now.

I've given a talk on P2P Network Security at BSides Manchester in the past, and organize one of the largest monthly information security meetups in the North-West (MCR InfoSec). I enjoy sharing my knowledge on the more obscure sides of security, especially information-theoretic security and cryptography, which is less than approachable to most.
